Oregon Fishing Derbies and Fishing Tournaments
There a numerous Oregon Fishing Derbies and Fishing Tournaments on the Oregon Coast held every year. These Derbies are held to raise money for Fisheries projects and enhancement of runs primarily. We will be posting these derbies and dates as they become available. Please contact each event for more information directly we will not be a good source for this.
Slam'n Salmon Ocean Derby in Brookings, Oregon
Labor Day weekend we will have the 4th annual Slam'n Salmon Ocean Derby in Brookings, Oregon. You can see more about it at

or www.slamnsalmon.com The event has grown each year. This year we expect 750-800 fishermen for the 3-day event. The grand prize for the largest fish is $5000 with over $16,000 in total prizes for the weekend. We also serve a salmon BBQ for about 1200 people.
All proceeds from the event are granted to area salmon enhancement programs. Last year over $8000 was given to various programs and projects.
